[This reflection by Chris Ginter was published in the weekly news bulletin of Horley Baptist Church, 09/Feb/2025]
How blessed we are to be able to share our faith in Jesus with each other in our country.
There are many people we know who have come over to our area seeking asylum from other countries because if they had stayed in their own country would have been persecuted for their faith in Jesus, tortured or even killed. It’s not an easy task to come over here, penniless leaving all they had, wives, children and so much more.
We are blessed in so many ways here, free to pray for each other, free to worship as we choose, whether in our homes or openly in our church.
I think I would have steam coming out of my ears if I couldn’t speak about Jesus freely. What about praying for each other on the street in Horley or even in Tesco, these places are our mission field, I love being a light in the darkness.
Jesus and His disciples prayed freely where ever they were and many miracles happened because of their obedience. I long to see and experience the love of Jesus distributed freely to many people where we live so that others may ask, ‘who is this Jesus, and what must I do to be saved?’
Let the river of your love break through the barrier of unbelief and hurt so that we can see revival hit Horley and the surrounding areas.
Every Blessing, Chris Ginter
