[A ‘Tuesday Challenge‘ originally prepared for the congregation of Horley Baptist Church during June 2026]

That day he made the Gibeonites woodcutters and water-carriers for the assembly, to provide for the needs of the altar of the Lord at the place the Lord would choose.

[A ‘Tuesday Challenge‘ originally prepared for the congregation of Horley Baptist Church during December 2025]

Whoever quarries stones may be injured by them; whoever splits logs may be endangered by them.
Ecclesiastes 10 v9 [NIVUK]

At the time that these words were written those two tasks were part of the regular routine for many people. To put it in terms that are relevant to us, there is risk and potential danger even in our ordinary daily activities.

A Mid-term Appraisal

[A ‘Tuesday Challenge‘ originally prepared for the congregation of Horley Baptist Church during November 2025]

Could do better … should try harder
