The Energy of Synergy

Dazz recently spoke to us about the Holy Habit of living the Christian life with others. On the screen we saw the words “Being Team Mates For Jesus”. What he said is very important! We weren’t designed for solitary living – God saw that it was not good for Adam to be alone.

A Tale Of Two Specks

It’s that time of year, so picture a tennis ball lying in one corner of Centre court at Wimbledon. On that tennis ball – one of many scattered around the court – there are tiny specks of dust. A couple of them – we shall call them speck 1 and speck 2 – start to talk to each other (allow your imagination to take over from here).

Little Consolation

[A ‘Tuesday Challenge‘ originally prepared for the congregation of Horley Baptist Church during June 2025]

He did not have much but little is much if God is in it.[1]

In John’s report of the feeding of the five thousand, Jesus challenged his disciple Philip with the need to feed the people that came to see Jesus. The disciples knew that, although they no doubt had some assets[2], their resources would not be adequate for the task. So they said that the problem could not be solved.

It’s Painful!

We have just finished this month’s teaching series ‘The Power to Change, Breaking Free for Good’. Even before the first sermon, I knew I was going to hear things that hurt. You see – for me at least – finding freedom has always involved pain. I think that’s because of the stuff that needs to be ripped out of me first – stuff that I’ve been in bondage to for many years.

Court Lodge Needs Us

It has been so encouraging lately to see so many people welcomed into our church for special events – Easter celebrations, Family Fun Days, baptisms, Christmas happenings. But the amazing, wonderful thing is that Jesus is turning up palpably by His Spirit as we worship and praise Him!
